  • Welcome, and thanks for taking the time to visit the Graham Terhune site! I am Graham, and I am a wedding photographer based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This past june, I married my best friend, Samantha, and together we are raising our dog Bolo, and enjoying our time together as newlyweds. As with most things, Samantha and I have discovered we work better as a team and have begun shooting engagement sessions and weddings together. We love photographing weddings (in N.C. and everywhere else!) and capturing the significant moments and details that make each celebration unique.

Engaged: Genevieve and Derek

Good Morning! Words can’t describe how excited we are to share our most recent engagement session. We have been looking forward to photographing Genevieve and Derek for quite some time – and we finally got the opportunity last weekend. We met at Fearrington Village, where Derek proposed, and enjoyed a wonderful evening of photographs and dinner. The love between these two was so easy to capture and they were both naturals in front of the camera. We cannot wait until their wedding next May!

UNC Graduate: Christina

Last week I met up with Christina on UNC’s campus for some graduation pictures.  Christina graduated this past Sunday and is excited to move to Atlanta in a couple of months to start her new job.  We had so much fun walking around campus, taking pictures at some of her favorite spots.  We lucked out and got one of the prettiest afternoons we’ve had all spring!  Please enjoy a few of my favorites from Christina’s graduation shoot!

Married: Blair and Clayton

Happy Monday morning! We hope everyone enjoyed a nice weekend and gave all mamas a big hug!

We are excited to share Blair and Clayton’s intimate mountain wedding with you. We have known Blair for a long time and are so happy that we were able to be a part of her special day. Blair and Clayton knew they wanted an small, quiet wedding with their closest friends. They chose to hold their ceremony at the Mountain Magnolia Inn, in Hot Springs, NC. It was a gorgeous evening – a little bit of rain, but it made for wonderful photograph light. Blair and Clayton were so calm and prepared to read their vows to one another. We loved that they wrote their own vows, and that their ceremony was completely about the two of them. Even though Blair and Clayton chose to have only a few people attend their wedding, they made sure to incorporate small details throughout the day that reminded them of the people they love most. We loved that they each had a piece of their son’s birth hat sewn into their wedding attire, Blair had one pink peony in her bouquet for her grandmother and several tokens from her mother.

We are honored that we were able to capture Blair and Clayton’s wedding day. We know they will have a happy future together and continue to be wonderful parents to Cayman.

Welcome Baby Girl

Wednesday evening Samantha and I headed over to UNC Women’s Hospital to capture some photographs of Kristen and Chance, and their new baby girl. We loved being present at such a sweet and tender time and hope you feel all of our love in our video that we put together for Kristen and Chance. We hope they are able to look back on this special day forever and remember their first evening with baby girl.

 

Kristen and Chance, we have loved getting to know you better over these past couple of months. We know that you are already amazing parents and that baby Reese is in a wonderful family.

Chapel Hill is buzzing with excitement today! President Obama is speaking on campus, and Jimmy Fallon is hosting his show (with President Obama, the Roots and Dave Matthews) from Memorial Hall. The weather is beautiful, the birds are chirping and we have a lovely wedding to share with you! We were honored to capture Erin and Rick’s Raleigh wedding this past weekend! We arrived to find a very calm Erin getting ready at her house, and she remained calm and gracious throughout the entire day. Rick and Erin’s wedding day was lovely – the weather held out for their beautiful outdoor ceremony and the love and support from all of their family members and friends was abundant. We’d like to thank Erin, Rick and their families for their generosity and kindness to us throughout the day. We loved that we were able to participate in such an incredible day.
